不用客氣~! 真高興吉米願意吃妙先包，我家阿建不肯吃，
所以妙先包我是當初用來加水強灌的...
還是建議吉米媽，除了自己進食之外，最好再增加灌食，
才能達到一天半包的量。
還有提醒你要記得加熱食物和水喔，食物會比較有香氣，
也會比較好吞嚥，還有比較不會感冒。
阿建現在愛喝溫水，半夜會喵喵叫我起床餵他溫水。
之前想用保溫盤幫他維持水溫，可是又怕他燙到，
所以我睡前(12:00-1:00)會餵約30cc，
5:00-6:00再起來餵30cc
希望大家的貓咪都建健康康的...

之前我有翻譯一小篇腎衰竭飲食處置

後來我覺得 http://www.felinecrf.org/ 的資料更豐富(大推薦)，不過來不及翻譯。。。
吉米打三天點滴，腎指數就可以有效下降，是好現象。
現在最大的問題應該是飲食和飲水吧
如果他能攝取足夠熱量和水分，應該會比較舒服，也會比較有體力撐過去。
我的實際經驗是，貓咪絕食時一定要先用針筒灌食，我當初是用溫水加皇家妙鮮包，
每次灌30cc，每天半包妙鮮包加200cc水，有時候灌魚湯(虱目魚水煮)。
一面灌一面安撫貓咪，之前之後都抱抱約10-30秒鐘。
(我還有20包皇家妙鮮包，你要可以給你，我家阿建不吃)
如果灌食後不吐，就可以安心了，點滴或皮下都可以不用。
每個階段有不同方式，視你觀察到的貓咪反應而定。
我自己在那一段時間的心情調適就是努力K網路上各種資料，
減少自己的無力感。
還有靠一些成功案例來給自己打氣，
譬如凱特的小花，dear 的小如，還有http://www.felinecrf.org/ 有一區是 success stories
我是一點都不想去看一些諸如安樂之類的文章(但是忍不住還是看了不少，會哭...)
我想把正面能量傳給阿建，所以會更常摸他，和他講話，稱讚他....
現在阿建看起來好很多很多，會挑釁咪咪，跳到衣櫥上，吃很多kd乾乾。
只是每天半夜藥起來伺候他喝溫水。

真的是很難抉擇該怎麼做比較好
我當時也向醫生這樣提議，因為當時是星期六晚上，第二天醫院休診，實在沒有心理準備讓阿建就這樣住院，所以我也希望點滴打了之後，回家慢慢滴。可是醫生說點滴量藥很慢很慢(20cc/hr)，需要用IV pump，否心臟可能受不了，還是得住院。

不知道黏黏幾歲了？我的阿建也是腎衰竭，因為三天不吃而脫水很虛弱，住院打點滴一周之後有好轉，但腎指數還是高。醫生沒有明確說時間，但是也是一付要我有心理準備的樣子。後來我看了很多資料，國內外都有不少奮戰的例子，加上阿建只有6-7歲，所以我決定和他一起努力加油看看。現在三週了，他看起來愈來愈好，吃喝拉撒都不錯了。我想，目前如果黏黏只有虛弱脫水，採取積極治療，陪他一起努力到最後，就會比較沒有遺憾吧！

【11/18第二次回診】上次數字飆高後，心情一直很低落。謝謝dear, marylan, amiu 的打氣，看了許多網友推薦的小花婆婆的故事，dear網友的小如，還有國外的貓咪腎衰竭網站的例子，決定不管怎樣要和阿建貓一起奮力一搏(雖然阿建搞不清楚狀況，一直反抗)。
我會盡量紀錄過程，希望給其他貓咪家長參考。
這次回診已經做好心理準備了，BUN54, crea4.3，比上次(BUN80, crea6.4)進步，雖然還是比不上剛出院的數字(BUN38, crea4)，不過我已經有點放心了，希望能慢慢回歸穩定。
阿建還是有貧血現象，醫生說每週要注射兩次EPO，我本來想買一罐EPO回家自行注射，可是一罐的量太大了，所以後來決定每次要注射時，我自己去醫院拿抽好藥的針回家注射，阿建就不需要一周上醫院兩次了。
現在維持針筒灌水，如果阿建不太吃餅乾，我就會順便灌皇家妙鮮包，或魚湯雞湯。這幾天我發現灌水的水溫很重要，過冷的水會讓他不好吞嚥，所以我會加一些熱水，讓溫度界於冷水和溫水之間，這樣會吞的比較順利，就不容易嗆到。
目前進食，排泄，精神都還不錯。希望下次抽血(11/25)有好表現(好緊張阿)。

我查的資料中，慢性腎衰竭的貓咪都建議要監測血壓，因為有65%會有高血壓，但是我的壽醫院沒有這個設備，醫生說貓咪高血壓眼球會凸凸的，所以看起來我的貓應該沒有高血壓(???)。甚至也不太認為要監測血磷,鈣,鉀等，因為從BUN,crea 就可以瞭解腎功能了。這兩部分的解釋，我都覺得怪怪的。。。但是目前為止我蠻信賴這家醫院的，我也不想帶著敏感的貓咪到處讓不同的醫生看，他也是網路上推薦指數很高的醫院。要不要因此換醫院呢？很苦惱！

我非常想把阿建帶在身邊隨時餵水，因為我餵他水很輕鬆，
甚至我覺得他也喝的很高興。
但是我現在每周要回高雄上課兩天，
新竹也只有我可以照顧他，
所以最好的考量是放在高雄，
阿建也認得我媽，我媽又有比較多時間在家。
只是我媽不太會餵，而且增加她很多麻煩有點過意不去。
請問皮下注射是獸醫建議你的嗎？
我有問過醫生，他有點不以為然的說，不用啦
只要多喝水就好了
真羨慕你家小如指數控制的這麼好，
希望阿建也能進步。

管灌食Feeding Tubes
有些主人成功的使用管灌食。有好幾種不同的選擇可以和獸醫討論，每一種都可在這個網站找到。雖然管灌食可在貓拒食時提供營養，這些設備並不能預防噁心嘔吐。另外，有些管子置入時需要麻醉，對腎衰竭的貓咪來說是外加的風險。Some Feline CRF caregivers have reported success with the use of feeding tubes. There are several different options which can be discussed with your vet and a description of each can be found at this Web site: http://www.lbah.com/Feline/ftube.htm Although feeding tubes do make it possible to provide nutrition when a cat won't eat, these devices will not prevent vomiting and nausea. In addition, the insertion of some feeding tubes requires anesthesia, an added risk for a cat with advanced kidney failure.
水Water
對所有的貓來說，新鮮水是必要的，尤其CRF的貓。建議每天至少喝兩碟水。最好給瓶裝水，而不要給自來水。似乎礦泉水和蒸餾水對貓咪較健康，因為沒有含自來水的化學物質。或者你可以考慮在水龍頭裝濾水器。CRF貓咪胃部容易不適，室溫水會比冷水好。貓咪吃乾糧時會喝更多水，氣候較暖和時，也喝較多水。沒有規定正常貓咪一天要喝多少水，但是超過6-8盎司通常就過多了。而CRF貓每天可能會喝更多。While it's important that all cats have fresh water, it is absolutely essential that CRF cats have fresh water and lots of it at all times. It's advisable to have at least two water dishes available daily. We feel that cats should be given bottled water rather than tap water. It just seems healthier for the cat as spring water is free of most of the chemicals found in tap water and distilled water is free of all chemicals and sodium. Or you might consider investing in a filter for your water faucet. Because CRF cats tend to have upset stomachs, water at room temperature is preferable to cold water. Cats drink more water when they eat dry food and they drink more when the weather is warm. There is no set amount of water for a normal cat to drink each day, but over 6-8 ounces per day is usually considered excessive for a normal cat. CRF cats may drink more than this daily.
維他命Vitamins

But, since CRF cats urinate frequently, they may be losing water-soluble vitamins, including Vitamins B and C, especially if they are also having trouble eating or keeping their food down. There are a wide variety of multivitamins available, in tablets and liquids. Tablets can be ground into a powder and sprinkled on food. If you do decide to give your cat vitamins, always consult with your veterinarian first for recommendations as to type and brand that are suitable. Cats can overdose and even die on vitamin supplementation.

零食Treats
(譯註：其實treats我不知該如何翻譯，請客？款待？應該就是吃好料的意思吧！姑且翻成零食，請高人指點。)
早期腎衰竭便不該再給零食了，你可能會面臨到，不管後遺症也要讓貓享有一些快樂的時候。CRF貓咪通常需要一些愉快的生活，在他們因為給予皮下注射輸液、藥物、不喜歡的食物而過的很辛苦時。在末期CRF階段時，偶而給零食不會造成太大的不同。While treats shouldn't really be given in the early stages of CRF, you may reach a point when you think the cat deserves some enjoyment regardless of the consequences. CRF cats are generally having a tough time with sub-Q fluids, medications and foods they don't like and need some joy in their lives. An occasional treat is not going to make that much difference during later stages of CRF.
讓貓咪進食的訣竅Tips for Getting Your Cat to Eat:
•微波加熱食物到室溫或稍高於室溫，可以讓貓較能接受(例如，加強香味)。Warming the food in the microwave for a few seconds to room temperature or slightly warmer may make it more palatable (i.e. strengthen the aroma) to the cat.
•混合不同的低蛋白食物。你可能就會找到正確比例。Mix different low protein foods together. You just might hit on the right combination.

市售食物Commercial foods
如果貓咪拒吃以上食物，就要研究一下市售食品的營養素，比較不同食物的蛋白質含量。罐頭標籤顯示較低的蛋白質，因為整體食物重量包含水，所以會顯示較低的蛋白質百分比。大部分市售食品都有免付費電話可詢問完整的營養標示，而非只有包裝上沒有含磷量的一般標示。他們會很樂意提供資訊。有些市售食品會有較低的蛋白質/鹽/磷，所以值得你去研究一下，如果貓咪不吃特別食物的話。If your cat refuses to eat the above foods, do some research, read ingredient contents and compare protein contents on commercial foods. Canned foods appear to be lower in protein because the protein is expressed as a percentage of the total weight which includes water. Most commercial cat food companies have 800 numbers on their cans and can be contacted for complete nutritional listings of their foods rather than the general label listings on the food cans, which may not include phosphorus content. They are all helpful and willing to provide information. Some commercial foods are lower in protein, salt and phosphorus, so it's worth researching if your cat won't eat the special diets.
嬰兒食品Baby Food

Your cat doesn't feel good and doesn't eat. Not eating makes the cat feel even worse. When giving an appetite stimulant, it will probably be necessary to experiment with dosage. Too little may not work at all and too much may result in the cat being wobbly and/or confused. NEVER give a larger dose than your vet prescribes. Give the appetite stimulant prior to feeding. If appetite stimulants don't work, CRF cats may have to be temporarily force-fed, usually by implanting a tube into the stomach, or by liquefying food and hand-feeding with a syringe.

While there is no cure for CRF, this diet may slow the progression of the disease. * CRF cats sometimes have a difficult time eating any foods because they tend to secrete excess stomach acids. Since these foods are often less palatable than the commercial foods, you must be patient and persistent in your efforts to get your cat to eat the prescribed diet.

DO NOT starve the cat. If a cat doesn't want to eat, it WON'T. Remember that it's most important for them to keep food intake and body weight up. When introducing a new low protein diet, start by gradually increasing the new food and decreasing the old. This procedure could take anywhere from a week to a month depending on how finicky your cat is. If your cat doesn't like a dry version of the new diet, try the canned and vice versa.

我的貓咪慢性腎衰竭出院了

【回診】11/14一早就去驗血，本以為我灌水灌的應該很夠了，沒想到BUN回升到80, crea更高到6。白血球也升高到25，而血紅素和紅血球有稍微回升，所以今天又注射了EPO。看著因為回醫院而緊張的阿建貓，心情非常低落，難道腎衰竭的貓咪真的就要一直在生死邊緣徘徊嗎？？看完醫生我立刻就要回新竹，只能一直叮嚀媽媽要多灌水，等星期五再看本週結果了。
？？有沒有網友可以告訴我您的腎衰竭貓咪還活的很好的？？？
【另外的感想】阿建住院時的隔壁床貓咪，才一歲，BUN高到130，主人天天從診所開門陪貓咪到關門，後來因為指數一直沒降，上週到屏科大檢查。今天醫生告訴我，那隻貓咪檢查後發現原因是心臟輸出血量不足，導致腎灌流不足，後來貓咪一直躺著不能動，又全身水腫，主人最後讓他去當小天使了。聽了很難過，我和貓主人陪病時聊了很多貓經，這是她的第一隻貓，出生幾天後就被她檢回去慢慢餵奶長大的，就像她的小孩一樣，真是難以想像她的傷心。

阿建因為一直拉肚子，所以我一直都試不同的餅乾，希爾思，皇家，鷹格，優格，ANF...都吃過。罐頭極少餵，以前都1-3個月一罐，暑假回高雄時，我家人會天天給她吃罐頭，可是也只有1/4-1/6罐的量。水應該是喝不夠多。
