貓還沒接回來已經跟為了貓跟男友吵過好多次了
我: 等夠大了我要帶去結紮....(以下省略原因十幾二十條)
他: 這樣對貓不公平啦, 你憑什麼扮演上帝!
我: 這已經不是道德哲學的問題了! 是實際上一窩生出來要怎麼處理, 浪貓已經一堆了還讓他增加的問題! 
我: 等到成貓以後我會以乾乾為主罐罐為輔
他: 這樣跟牢房伙食有什麼差別? 要讓貓餐餐吃罐罐, 乾乾灑點就好了
我: 可是乾乾比較營養, 罐罐都是水, 對牙齒也不好
他: 好吃比較重要
我: 
我: 我要把貓養在家裡不放出去, 外面太危險了, 隨便放出去也不負責任 (以下省略原因十幾二十條)
他: 貓一定要放出去啦, 你不能把貓終身囚禁在家裡
我: 問題是外面太危險了, 還有傳染病, 懷孕之類的問題
他: 青少年也常出問題, 但是你也不能把青少年關在家裡阿
我: 貓不是青少年好嗎! 
他: 你會餵你的貓喝牛奶嗎?
我: 不會, 貓不能消化乳糖, 會拉肚子...要喝就要喝幫貓配的
他: 不試怎麼知道他會不會消化得了,加點水 多喝就消化的了啦
我: ........ 
隔天我去買了兩瓶貓咪配方....從此我大概不會在家裡放牛奶了
我可不想每次他一時興起我的貓就拉肚子...=.=

放出去的"自由貓" (尤其是沒結紮的公貓) 打架的結果
有人會讓五歲小孩一個人在街上亂晃嗎?
不會的話為什麼讓貓在街上亂晃沒人看管?
沒結紮的公貓知道會搞出多少流浪貓嗎?
沒結紮的母貓放出去很容易就被追丟變成懷孕浪浪然後製造出一堆小浪浪
貓愛滋被咬到就會在貓咪之間到處傳染
我不懂
英國台灣都一樣
一大堆人在那高喊領養代替買賣
卻以不負責任的飼養方式造成更多的浪浪
這是什麼邏輯!?
領養代替購買以收拾這些人製造出的爛攤子嗎!?

What is a Breeder ?
A Breeder (with a capital B) is one who thrists for knowledge and never really knows it all, one who wrestles with decisions of conscience, convenience and commitment.
A Breeder is one who sacrifices personal interests, finances, time, friendships, fancy furniture and deep pile carpet!
She gives up dreams of a long, luxurious cruise in favour of turning that all important show into this years vacation.
The Breeder goes without sleep (but never without coffee) in hours spent planning a breeding or watching over the birth process, and afterwards, over every little sneeze, wriggle or cry.
The breeder skips dinner parties because that litter is due or the babies have to be fed at eight.
She disregards birth fluids and puts mouth to mouth to save a gasping new-born, literally blowing life into a tiny, helpless creature that may be the culmination of a lifetime of dreams.
A Breeder's lap is a marvellous place where generations of proud and noble dogs once snoozed.
A Breeders hands are strong and firm and often soiled, but ever so gentle and sensitive to the thrusts of a puppy's wet nose.
A Breeder's back and knees are usually arthritic from stooping, bending and sitting in the birthing box, but strong enough to enable the Breeder to show the next choice pup.
A Breeder's shoulders are stooped and often heaped with abuse from competitors, but they're wide enough to support the weight of a thousand defeats and frustrations.
A Breeder's arms are always able to wield a mop, support an armful of puppies, or lend a helping hand to a newcomer.
A Breeder's ears are wonderous things, sometimes red (from being talked about) or strangely shaped (from being pressed against a phone receiver), often deaf to criticism, yet always fine-tuned to the whimper of a sick puppy.
A Breeder's eyes are blurred from pedigree research and sometimes blind to her own dog's faults, but they are ever so keen to the competition's faults and are always searching for the perfect specimen.
A Breeder's brain is foggy on faces, but can recall pedigrees faster than an IBM computer. It's so full of knowledge that sometimes it blows a fuse: it catalogues thousands of good bonings, fine ears and perfect heads................................................................ and buries in the soul the failures and the ones that didn't turn out.
The Breeder's heart is often broken, but it beats strongly with hope everlasting...........................................................and it's always in the right place!
Oh, yes, there are breeders, and then, there are BREEDERS!!!

我家貓的培育者是習慣把不同品牌的乾乾混在一起
她混Royal Canin, Iams 跟這邊獨有的防過敏乾乾James Wellbeloved
她說各牌乾乾形狀不同
混起來有不同口感對貓咪來說比較有變化

就算不愛動物的人也該為自己擔心
一次大戰之後職業軍人已經漸漸被徵兵取代
需要大量速成的兵源結果就是只教暴力跟服從不教軍紀
然後為了保持士氣又不能罰太重
結果就是一系列從國軍虐狗到伊拉克虐囚的鬼事
想像一下這些只有戰技沒有軍紀的人有多危險
回想一下幾年前的數起軍官性侵殺人案
軍紀教育不改善
今天虐狗,明天就虐人了....=.=

I am not saying that he has mental condition
I am glad that he is not a compulsive collector
However there are such cases to be aware of
It is sad that in the UK the situation is not really that much better
There are ignorant people letting cats roam about without having them neutered as well
I find it irritating when people do that and dump the kittens on the RSPCA or other rescues.
Neutering animals doesn't cost a lot, it is often people that can't be bothered

I am not saying anything specifically about him
However, there are people who have the mental condition of compulsively collecting animals
These people have a tendency of collecting stray animals
Whatever you do, I would really suggest you investigate whether he shows any sign of compulsive collection.
(Though I don't think he is a compulsive animal collectors, it often seem compulsive collectors just collect without looking after them)
In addition, it would probably be better to persuade him to adopt some of the animals out
There is no way a single person can care for over 200 animals at the same time

品種貓繁殖方式跟血統書的制度跟國外(至少英國來說)不一樣的
貓咪狗狗比賽不是選誰最美

在國外血統書也沒那麼好拿的
在GCCF的規定中只有賽級的母貓與接近冠軍級的公貓可以放在Active Register (登記可繁殖)
其他登記在Non-Active都不准繁殖配種
登記在Non-Active Register的母貓沒有登記Active Register的公貓願意跟你配
任何Non-Active的貓咪的後代都拿不到血統書也不能登記
其實我覺得這樣的制度比較好
至少不會說養品種貓狗的人想繁殖賺錢就能隨便配種還拿得到血統書
以上言論無關廣告繁殖,買賣,配種
- 人貓皆在英國如何在台灣經營買賣配種
- 二貓均將為Non-Active規定必需結紮如何繁殖?
- Non-Active登記之貓就算有後代也不會有血統書
- 繁殖有血統書之品種貓精神與金錢耗費昂貴,一介小小研究生玩不起亦無此精力空閒
- 呼籲以領養代替買賣減少流浪動物應配合自家寵物結紮,攻擊買賣寵物卻讓自己家的寵物生育不會減少流浪動物

那要怎麼辦?
像駝鳥一樣把頭埋在沙裡
完全不告訴他任何購買寵物該有的觀念讓他去繼續買不足齡的寵物?

查查有種叫做Don Sphynx , 又名Russian Hairless的貓
那個你大概領養不到
因為在歐洲Breeder販賣的價錢小貓一隻在600~1800歐元中間
英國也幾乎沒有
所以看你是要放棄或是用購買的然後在這邊變成人人喊打...
(不爽中)

這個論壇好像對於購買寵物的人非常有敵意
很不幸的
人各有所好
有些人就是喜歡某種長相的寵物並且願意花錢去買
例如我與我即將入住的兩隻貓
但是在買品種貓的時候
我情願多花一點錢在受到GCCF規範的貓舍買而不是隨便到寵物店,
(在英國幾乎沒有一家受尊重的寵物店會賣貓狗, GCCF登記的繁殖者也不允許賣給寵物店)
或是隨便一個分類廣告上沒有註冊的"繁殖者"買
雖然說價錢可以差到兩倍而且沒有人會看到我那張GCCF登記證明
拿一個有點扯遠的比方
在國外許多黑人,華人,印度人...etc搭訕失敗的時候常常直接開始罵人種族岐視
可是對方可能根本就是對他本人沒有興趣
你不能說因為我要找一個男友就要我來者不拒吧?
尊重不尊重生命不在於購不購買寵物
也在於負責任的態度
今天如果一個人一時興起跑去領養了兩隻貓
(領養至少免費)
過個一兩個月就把牠們丟出來
或是讓他們沒結紮還到處晃(英國很多領養寵物的人也會來這套)
請問他比我的Breeder雖然販售寵物堅持遵守協會規範更尊重生命嗎?
我的Breeder家繁殖的貓很有可能吃住,活動,醫療照顧都比絕大多數的寵物貓好太多了
甚至可能比這邊論檀上的寵物貓福利還好
請問這邊誰願意砸個好幾萬在院子裡建個讓貓咪安全活動的Cat Run?
上萬元的貓跳台,抓柱,抓板
還不算每星期數千塊的玩具, 貓食, 用品,
不歡迎就算了
我還是回前個論壇去
